DIXON – A city firefighter was sent to Rockford Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries Monday after falling 12 feet during routine maintenance at the fire station.
Andy Brooks, 47, a firefighter and paramedic who has been with the Dixon Fire Department for 20 years in November, injured his shoulder and head and underwent surgery Monday afternoon, Fire Chief Tim Shipman said.
