City limits hours to burn yard waste
Some members say changes too restrictive
MORRISON – The City Council on Monday enacted an ordinance further limiting the hours for burning yard waste.
Before, residents were allowed to burn yard waste from 9 a.m. to sunset on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Under the new ordinance, burning is restricted to 3 p.m. to sunset on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Saturday hours remain.
The council changed the hours to prevent burning during school hours.
