STERLING – Gregory Wilburn, 61, of Sterling, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012.

Gregory was born Jan. 19, 1951, in Rockford. He was the son of John and Mary Jane (Conger) Wilburn. He married Linda Lester on Aug. 24, 1975, in Rock Falls. Gregory was an avid golfer and loved to fish, hunt and go camping. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of Sterling; two daughters, Tammy (Eddie) Miranda of Manlius and Kristen Wilburn and her fiancé, Trace Hoagland, of Sterling; his grandchildren, Kelsie Crow, Olivia and Anthony Miranda, and Brenden Hoagland; stepgranddaughters, Courtney and Kylee Hoagland; one brother, Doug (Pat) Wilburn of Roscoe; nephews, John and Tim Wilburn of Rockford; mother-in-law, Beverly Lester of Sterling; and cousins, Jim and Sue Wright of Minnesota.
