LAKE BLUFF – Elizabeth “Ann” O’Connell, neé Durkes, 60, of Lake Bluff, formerly of Chicago and Dixon, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012.

She retired from W.W. Grainger in 1999. Ann was a board member and active in the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Chicago. She was the founder of MS Chicago.

She was the loving wife of Michael J. O’Connell; beloved daughter of Richard S. and Betty Ann Durkes neé Wehn; cherished sister of Richard W. (Clementina) Durkes, Donald S. (Diana) Durkes, Jeffrey L. Durkes, Susan W. Durkes and Margaret W. (Kenneth) Hoogs; and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
