Dixon firefighter injured in accident at station
DIXON – A Dixon firefighter was sent to Rockford Memorial Hospital following a 12-foot fall today during routine cleaning and maintenance at the city fire station.
The name of the firefighter has not been released pending notification of family members, Dixon Fire Chief Tim Shipman said.
The firefighter was on a hydraulic scissor lift when someone opened one of the overhead garage doors, knocking the lift over.
