High school football: Warriors draw blank in Kaneland
Kaneland scores early, often to send Sterling to first loss
MAPLE PARK – It was all Kaneland on Friday night as the Knights blanked Sterling 42-0 in a Northern Illinois Big 12 crossover game.
Kaneland (3-0) scored on five on its six possessions in the first half, while the Golden Warriors (2-1) were unable to get their offense going.
Sterling quarterback Tanner Morse only completed 4 of 12 passes for 33 yards. and Sterling only ruched for 51 yards as a team. Cornell Hartz was the team’s leading rusher with 33 yards on 13 carries.
