High school football: Stillman racks up 300-plus rushing yards, routs Oregon
Three centuries later
STILLMAN VALLEY – In a 34-7 win over Oregon, it looked like Stillman Valley’s offense operated in fourth gear while the Hawks were stuck in third.
“This was among one of the quickest Stillman teams I’ve seen,” Oregon coach John Bothe said. “It was hard for us to adjust to it.”
Not only were running backs Matt Stone and Brit Vernon especially difficult for Oregon to corral, but their elusiveness set up 220-pound fullback Zac Hare to operate between the tackles.
