Sterling woman to share story of path to citizenship
STERLING – Wednesday afternoon, I met with Erika Anderson, the English as a Second Language/Citizenship coordinator at Sauk Valley Community College.
I set up an interview with Anderson after I received a suggestion to write an article on becoming a citizen. I wanted Anderson to share with me the process of gaining citizenship, so I could share it with readers. I asked her if she could introduce me to someone who is going through the process so I could tell his or her story.
Wednesday, I had the opportunity to do just that. Anderson introduced me to a Sterling woman who is in the middle of the process.
