Special needs group needs help
Sauk Valley Interagency Council looking for donations for family weekend
STERLING – The Sauk Valley Interagency Council needs the community’s help to continue holding a weekend full of activities for families with special needs children.
The council is made up of organizations that serve families with children from birth to age 5. For the past 15 years, it has planned a weekend event where they can network and find support.
“The weekend is a joint venture between families, service providers, agencies, local businesses and volunteers,” coordinator Kathy Blomberg wrote in a brochure about the event. “The goal of SVIC is to provide everyone with a stimulating, informative and fun weekend.”
