Police investigate deaths at long-term health care facility
SYCAMORE (AP) – A male patient and a woman who had once lived with him died in a double suicide or murder-suicide at a long-term care facility in northern Illinois, police said Wednesday.
Mario Engoglia and Susan Triezenberg died Tuesday at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore. Police said in a news release Wednesday that the recovery of a handgun and other evidence suggested “one or both of the victims’ deaths were self-inflicted.”
Triezenberg, 57, of Granville, was visiting Engoglia, 54, at the facility. They had lived together in Granville, about 90 miles southwest of Chicago, before Engoglia moved into the care facility.
