Nancy J. Kimpel
POLO – Nancy J. Kimpel, 74, of Polo, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at her home. She was a homemaker, and worked for Kable News in Mount Morris for 11 years.
Nancy was born Aug. 13, 1938, in Milledgeville, the daughter of Clifford and Virginia (Eastabrooks) Bardell. She graduated from Milledgeville High School as valedictorian in 1956. Nancy loved spending time with her family, never missing their sporting events and musical activities. She served as a Cub Scout den mother and Girl Scout leader. Nancy was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, very active in her church and enjoyed quilting for those in need.
Survivors include daughters, Lori (Jerry) King of Leaf River and Lisa (George) Landherr of Lanark; sons, Alan Kimpel of Aurora, Colo., Steve (Kristin) Kimpel of Polo and Brian (Jean) Kimpel of Freeport; brother, Ronald (JoDee) Bardell of Polo; grandchildren, Jennifer (Terry) Warren, Jamie (Mike) Nielsen, Jessica, Jason and Jeffrey Kimpel, Travis (Caitlin) Roop, Heather (Steve Milam) Roop and Paige Roop, Lauren, Emily, Rebecca Kimpel, Spenser, Zachary, Seth Landherr, Joseph (Katie) Green and Cassandra Green; and 11 great-grandchildren.
