Jacquelyn S. ‘Jackie’ White

ELGIN – Jacquelyn S. “Jackie” White, 89, of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, in St. Charles. She was a bookkeeper with W.J. White Insurance Co. in Elgin before retiring.

She was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Chicago, the daughter of John F. and Anna Donaghue Schroder. She had been a resident of Elgin since 1952.

Surviving are her two sons, Laurence J. “Larry” (Patricia White) of Sammamish, Wash., and the Rev. Paul C. White of McHenry; and two grandsons, Patrick and Jeffery White.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Alice Schroder; her husband, Willfred J. “Bill” “Bud” White; and one sister, Maxine Schroder.

Memorial Mass will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2224 Avenue J, Sterling. Arrangements were completed by Laird Funeral Home in Elgin.

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Newman Central Catholic High School or Home of Hope Cancer Wellness Centers.
