AMBOY – Marian A. Forman, 92, of Amboy, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at the Mendota Lutheran Home. 

She was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Amboy, the daughter of Louie and Christina (Schanaberg) Wiser. She married Morris Forman on Dec. 19, 1945.

She and her husband had owned and operated Forman Nursing Home and Mapleside Manor Nursing Home in Amboy from 1949 to 1995.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ralph and Roy Wiser; sisters, Mabel Dewey and Mildred Deadmond, and half brother, Lester Wiser.

She is survived by her husband, Morris; daughter, Sylvia (Gary) Schultz of Amboy; five grandchildren, Michele (Gregory Wilhelm) Egan of Amboy, Roxanne Egan of Elk Grove Village, Suzanne E. (Brian Propheter) Egan of Amboy, Jason (Elisa) Egan of Wheaton and Jessica (Aaron) Lanning of Franklin Grove; and five great-grandchildren, Sophia Propheter, Abigayle Egan, and Dillon, Peyton and Isabella Lanning.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at the church, with Monsignor Thomas Bales officiating. Burial of cremains will follow in Woodside Cemetery in Lee Center.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy.
