Rita Cardot

NELSON – Rita Cardot, 71, of Nelson, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at Transitions Nursing Home in Rock Falls. She was a homemaker.

Rita was born Feb. 14, 1941, in Dixon, the daughter of Ray and Hattie (Bradley) Andrews. She married Leo Cardot on Feb. 14, 1959, in Los Angeles. He died Jan. 24, 2001. She was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church in Rock Falls.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet Cardot of Rockford; four sons, Dennis Cardot of Freeport, Kevin Cardot of Dixon, Thomas Cardot of Nelson and Michael Cardot of Sterling; one sister, Theresa Yingling of Franklin Grove; two brothers, William (Francis) Andrews of Polo and Thomas Richard Andrews of Dixon; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
