Juanita F. Tedrick
STERLING – Juanita F. Tedrick, 97, of Sterling, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at Coventry Living Center in Sterling.
Juanita was born Nov. 11, 1914, in Brownsville, the daughter of Clarence Leland and Leah Flossie (Cole) Augenstein. She married Leland (Ted) Tedrick on Oct. 2, 1931, in St. Elmo. Leland died Aug. 30, 1992. Juanita worked at Green River Ordnance during World War II. She also worked at International Harvester, Lawrence Brothers and Daniels Grill; was the manager of Lawtons Dairy; and was the manager of One-Hour Martinizer until retiring in 1977. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Como.
Survivors include one daughter, Fadra (Gerald) Law, and one son, Calvin (Linda) Tedrick, both of Rock Falls; one brother, Jesse Augenstein of Florida; six grandchildren, Scott (Jamie) Chalfant of Cowden, Dawn Krohe of Vandalia, Kevin Chalfant of New Castle, Ind., Brian (Becky) Law of Davis, and Brad Tedrick and Teresa Tedrick, both of Rock Falls; one son-in-law, Marvin Chalfant of Cowden; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Augenstein and Betty Augenstein; 20 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.
