FORRESTON – Leona Grace DeVries, 91, of Forreston, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at her home. 

Leona was born Aug. 29, 1920, in Forreston, the daughter of John and Fannie (Ruter) DeWall. She attended Forreston schools, graduating in 1938. She married Paul DeVries on Aug. 29, 1938, in Forreston.

She was a member of Forreston Reformed Church, was active in women's ministries, taught Sunday school for 37 years and played the piano. In addition to working with her husband on the family farm, she faithfully supported him in his community responsibilities.
