Dorothy J. Etheridge

PROPHETSTOWN – Dorothy J. Etheridge, 79, of Rock Falls, formerly of Yorktown, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Prophets Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown. She worked at Hank Bright RV Center in Rock Falls, and several hardware stores in the Sterling-Rock Falls area.

Dorothy was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Concord Township in Bureau County, the daughter of Amos and Nannie (Hash) Reynolds. She married Gail E. Etheridge on May 27, 1951, in Bureau Township. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Rock Falls.

Survivors include her husband of Rock Falls; two sons, Dale (Jeanne) Etheridge of Clinton, Iowa, and Randy (Beth) Etheridge of Tampico; one daughter, Debra (Pat) Dorathy of Tampico; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; one twin brother, Donald (Marje) Reynolds of Kasbeer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one stepgrandson, one brother and four sisters.
