Louise Clayberg Yemm

STERLING – Louise Clayberg Yemm, 84, of Sterling, died Thursday, Aug, 23, 2012, at her home, with her family in attendance.

Louise was born July 3, 1928, in Cuba, Ill, the daughter of Donald and Dorothea (Donaldson) Clayberg. She married William B. Yemm on June 3, 1951, in Cuba, Ill. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2005.

Louise was a graduate of Illinois State University in Normal. She was a music teacher in the Orion School District. She sang in the choir and was a choir director at various times at First Presbyterian Church in Sterling. She was a member of the Sterling PEO and Garden Club, and served on the AFS Board and the Sterling Library Board. Her life passion was her family, especially her relationships with her 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Kristyn (Tim) Pemrick of Elgin; four sons, Stephen J. (Shannon) Yemm, M.D., of Fort Collins, Colo., William D. and (Julie) Yemm, D.D.S., of Sterling, Gregory C. (Jenny) Yemm of Overland Park, Kan., and Robert S. (Susan) Yemm, M.S., of Denver; one sister, Eunice Foster of Morton; one brother, Donald (Nancy) Clayberg of Sycamore; 15 grandchildren, Kathryn (Brandon) Cutter, Riley Yemm, Erin (Jade) Mercer, Matthew Yemm, Elizabeth (Christopher) Coon, Paul (Katrina) Yemm, Christina Yemm, Stephen Yemm, Allison Yemm, Andrew (Kate) Yemm, Abigail Yemm, Peter Yemm, Charles Yemm, Kristy Yemm and Kelly Pemrick; and two great-grandchildren, Ella Jane Cutter and William Bear Yemm.
