Since age 16, Lowe makes success of grandma’s little shop
MOUNT CARROLL – Gwen Lowe, 36, literally grew up inside of her business, Flower Fan-A-See.
Her parents, John Lowe and Nancy Case, opened Flowers by Nancy, a small flower shop inside of Hotel Glenview’s lobby, in 1979, when she was barely 4.
Her grandmother, Ruby Lowe, recalls her looking like a doll garbed in antique-style granny dresses, taking naps inside of the glass display case where customers would quietly gush over her.
