Volleyball: Sterling senior leads way in opening win over Rockets

Loos, Warriors lower boom

ROCK FALLS – Every time the Rock Falls Rockets threatened to take the momentum in Tuesday night's season-opening volleyball match, the Sterling Golden Warriors had the answer – usually in the form of senior Krista Loos.

Loos had 10 kills, nine digs and five aces to lead the Warriors past the arch rival Rockets in two sets at Tabor Gym, 25-22, 25-20.

"Sterling played very well, and Krista Loos carried them," Rock Falls coach Sheila Mammosser said. "She was a one-man wrecking crew, and we couldn't stop her. She won that match for them."
