Lee County state's attorney wants more staff
Rising caseload blamed; defender also warns board
DIXON – The Lee County state's attorney wants more staff for his office, even though the county has left positions unfilled in other departments.
State's Attorney Henry Dixon said his office doesn't have enough staff for its rising caseload. He requested another assistant state's attorney and an administrative employee.
Last week, Public Defender Bob Thompson warned county officials that he may need more money in his budget.
