ROCK FALLS – Esther L. Keime, 86, of Rock Falls, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. She worked at National Manufacturing Co. in Sterling for 25 years.

She was born July 28, 1926, in Galt, the daughter of Wilhelm A. and Tena G. (Hinrichs) Hayen. She married George “Raymond” Keime on Feb. 1, 1953, in Sterling. He died Feb. 19, 2009. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Falls.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Steven) Rein of McHenry and Lois (Ed) Minertz of Sterling; three sons, Gale (Rogean) Keime and Mark (Kitty) Keime, both of Rock Falls, and David (Elaine) Keime of Sterling; one brother, Herbert (Delores) Hayen of Sterling; seven grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and seven great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by five sisters, Bertha Minertz, Eleanore Musselman, Edna Northrop, Irene Bruns and Helen Harting; two brothers, Frank Hayen and Ben Hayen; and one great-grandson.
