Schilling poll puts him in the lead
Bustos camp calls poll an attempt to distract voters
STERLING – A new poll released Monday by U.S. Rep. Bobby Schilling, the 17th Congressional District Republican, shows him with a 13-point lead over his Democratic challenger.
Schilling, of Colona, is running against former East Moline Alderwoman Cheri Bustos.
The Public Opinion Strategies poll, paid for by the Schilling campaign, surveyed 400 likely voters in the redrawn 17th District, which now includes all of Whiteside County, between Aug. 8 and 9.
