Lois M. Hopkins-Stonebraker-Conner

MESA, Ariz. – Lois M. Hopkins-Stonebraker-Conner, 86, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Walnut, passed away Thursday, Aug 16, 2012, at her home. She taught for 39 years in Ohio, Morrison and Tampico schools.

Lois was born Jan. 20, 1926, in Walnut, to Joseph R. and Ruth (Stickle) Hopkins. She married John Stonebraker on Sept 1, 1954, at the First Christian Church of Walnut. He died Aug. 17, 1987. She married Ted Conner on June 15, 1991, in Walnut. He died June 15, 2001.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Walnut and attended Broadway Christian Church of Mesa.

Survivors include one sister, Pearle (Don) Lange of Mesa; two nieces; two nephews; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, stepchildren and stepgrandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Marian Johnson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. The service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian Moore and Pearle Lange co-officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Walnut and Evercare Hospice of Phoenix.
