STERLING – Prim Pickins, a custom furniture store, opened July 31 at 607 Griswold Ave.
Owner Sarah Foshee, 39, of Galt, makes older types of furniture, such as hutches, out of sanded wood.
"People are into the old look now," Foshee said.
She also makes more modern items, such as entertainment centers and bean bag boards, along with coat racks, shelves and other items.
Foshee has been creating furniture out of her home for 25 years, and selling it for 5 years.
