STERLING – Registration is due by Monday for a free guitar master class with Australian blues rock guitarist Gerry Joe Weise.
The class will be at 6 p.m. Aug. 22 at Woodlawn Arts Academy, 3807 Woodlawn Road, as part of Weise's 10th U.S. tour. Seating is limited; call 815-626-4278 to sign up.
Weise has performed throughout the world with legendary artists Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Buddy Guy and Noel Redding, among others, and was named number 1 on the Top Electric Blues charts in Australia.
He has five solo albums signed to the Chicago-based Blues Breaking Records label, including his recent release “Live Blues World Tour,” which features live recordings from the United States, Europe, New Zealand, Polynesia, Tahiti and Fiji.
