Park idea of smoking ban in parks
A smoking ban in local parks is a well intentioned but unworkable idea. However, the problems it seeks to solve do need to be addressed.

Word came this week that part of a $210,000 state grant will be used to help promote smoking bans in parks within a five-county area, including Lee, Whiteside and Ogle counties.
