Julie Heaton Dimitri

CHICAGO – Julie, born to Mary Elizabeth and Joseph Heaton, was raised in Dixon. She attended Iowa State University where she majored in home economics and met her husband, George Dimitri.

Julie and George moved to Chicago, where Julie held various positions: working in the athletic department at Northwestern University, at an advertising agency and at Fourth Presbyterian Church. Building a home for her family in Naperville, Julie spent the next 20 years dedicated to raising her children, Michel, Jamie and Dana. This was her true calling in life.

Julie loved to laugh and make people laugh, she told stories – some might call tall tales – and played practical jokes with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. Julie was a confidante to many and always made herself available to listen to the worries of family and friends. She prepared for the worst and hoped for the best. Julie will be missed by all.
