Oregon woman pleads not guilty to theft charge
OREGON – An Oregon who pleaded not guilty to stealing money from the Byron Museum District while she was employed there wants a jury trial.
Jessica McCanse, 34, is charged with theft of $10,000 and $100,000, which carries a sentence of 3 to 7 years in prison. She entered her plea Aug. 3.
McCanse, who is free on $4,000 bond, has a pretrial hearing Oct. 9.
