STERLING – 17th Congressional District candidate Cheri Bustos, a Democrat, is holding a meet-and-greet from 9:30 to 11 a.m Aug. 18 at 212 Brinks Circle.
The former East Moline alderwoman will challenge first-term U.S. Rep. Bobby Schilling, R-Colona, in the Nov. 6 election. The redrawn 17th now includes all of Whiteside County.
