Norman G. Gittleson

FRANKLIN GROVE – Norman G. Gittleson, 78, of Franklin Grove, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

He was born on Feb. 11, 1934, in Chicago, the son of Alfred and Alberta Marcus Gittleson. He married Joyce Annette Furman on Jan. 15, 1959, in Rochelle.

Norman was a member for 61 years of the Iron Worker’s Local Union 498 as an iron worker, but was a man of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking, and built his home and crafted custom golf clubs. He was an avid golfer and loved his golden Lab buddies, Jake and Harley.
