Longtime dealership set to close
Franklin Family/Bemis Ford in business since 1918
OREGON – Franklin Family/Bemis Ford in Oregon, in business nearly 94 years, appears to be closing its doors.
As of Monday, Ford Motor Co. was directing Franklin customers to Dixon Ford, 489 state Route 2, for sales and service, said Valerie Ford, general manager of the Dixon dealership.
The Oregon dealership, 121 N. Fourth St., remains open, owner Jay Franklin said. He said that he didn’t know when it will close, that details still are being worked out and that things could change.
