ROCK FALLS – Geraldine A. “Geri” Valentino, 66, of Sterling, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Geri was born Dec. 28, 1945, in Oak Park, a daughter of James and Geraldine (Klose) Martin. She married Anthony Valentino on March 19, 1966, in Oak Park. Geri was the president of the Boston Leather Co. for 20 years. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling.

Surviving are her husband, Anthony of Rock Falls; a daughter, Kathleen Valentino of Itasca; two sons, Tony (Kelly) Valentino of Itasca and Michael Valentino of Chicago; a brother, William (Susan) Martin of Westchester; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew and Luke.
