MENDOTA – Arlene F. Schlesinger, 90, of Mendota, formerly of Sublette, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Heritage Health in Mendota. She worked at the Amboy hospital, Mendota Community Hospital and in the medical offices of Drs. Fleming, Spenader and Su.

She was born July 3, 1922, in Scarboro, to Wayne and Ruth (Barker) Pierce. She married Delphan Schlesinger on Feb. 20, 1941, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Compton. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of Sublette; two sons, Randy Schlesinger of Sublette and Gale (Jeanne) Schlesinger of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one daughter, Sharon (Robert) Kellen of Sublette; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
