Dash of Grace: Okra a Southwest staple
Okra. You pretty much love it or hate it. It depends where you grew up.
I grew up in the Southwest; specifically, Texas and New Mexico. I can’t get enough fried okra.
The problem is, it has to be cooked and eaten pretty much the same day it is picked. What you get in the stores is not at its best, unless it is a farmers market, and has come right from the garden. It gets pithy fast.
