Softball squad adding to tradition
There’s a row of plaques at Wallingford Park commemorating the success of past Rock Falls Little League teams.
At the beginning of the All-Star tournament season, the 9-10 year-old softball coaches John Paul, Korby Paul and David Chavira took their team over to see them.
The message was well received. The team qualified for the state tournament Tuesday with a 12-1 win over Peru at the sectional. They’ll open up state play at 1 p.m. on Saturday against Clear Ridge in South Elgin.
