Give swimming beach proposal serious thought

An idea to reopen Lowell Park’s swimming beach, where Ronald Reagan once was a lifeguard, has merit. We encourage the park district and community to consider it.

Why on earth should the Dixon Park District, at the urging of Dixon Mayor Jim Burke, investigate the reopening of Lowell Park’s beach for swimming?

Well, why not?
