State law too lax on boating and alcohol use
Drinking and boating shouldn’t mix, but the law condones it, to a point. Until boaters and their passengers face similar alcohol use restrictions as apply to motor vehicles, Illinois has not done enough to protect its citizens.
Drinking and driving don’t mix. Illinois has strong laws to discourage drunken driving and punish violators.
