Robert A. Johnson

WALNUT – Robert Arnold Johnson, 73, of Walnut, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at his home. He worked for 25 years at United Parcel and farmed in the Walnut area.

Bob was born Dec. 30, 1938, in Walnut, the son of Arnold and Shirley (Gallentine) Johnson. He married Roberta Glenn on Nov. 24, 1956, in Princeton. She preceded him in death on Dec. 20, 2010. He was a member of First Christian Church of Walnut.

Survivors include one son, Robert Steven Johnson of Gladstone, Mo.; two daughters, Michelle Lymberopoulos of Princeton and Susan Catalano of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Gene Johnson of Princeton, Randall Johnson of Morris and Jeff Johnson of Sterling; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews

He also was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Garland Funeral Home in Walnut. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian Moore, pastor of First Christian Church of Walnut, officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
