Motorcyclist treated for minor injuries

According to Sterling police, Eileen Y. Knie, 81, of Polo, was eastbound in the 4400 block of East Lincolnway around 1:10 p.m. Monday when she changed lanes, causing motorcyclist Justin L. Westpfahl, also eastbound, to lose control of his machine.

Westpfahl, 19, of Sterling, was thrown from his bike and taken to CGH Medical Center, where he was treated for minor injuries, police said.

Knie was cited for improper lane usage; Westpfahl for having no valid insurance, police said.
