Fiesta Days on rocky ground
Use of First Avenue Bridge to be discussed today
STERLING – Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce members hope the state will allow the Fiesta Days parade to travel over First Avenue Bridge, despite the construction.
Sterling and Rock Falls city officials are meeting with the Department of Transportation today.
Behind the scenes, though, chamber leaders, members of the Latin American Social Club and concerned citizens have been afraid no one would step up to organize a parade at all this year.
