MORRISON – Beverly Joy Ufkin Ryan, 56, of Morrison, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at her home. She worked at Pete Harkness Ford in Sterling for 38 years. She also was a clerk for Dirks Auction Service in Sterling.

Beverly was born Nov. 29, 1955, in Sterling, the daughter of Kenneth and June (Rosenow) Ufkin. She was educated at Woodside Grade School in rural Whiteside County, and graduated from Morrison High School in 1973. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison. She was a member of an antique collectors club in the Morrison and Fulton area. Bev was a member of a Wednesday night bowling league in Morrison.

Survivors include her mother of Lyndon; one sister, Barbara (Robert) Vegter of Morrison; one brother, Steven (Kathy) Ufkin of Lyndon; one niece, Andrea Vegter; one nephew, Jay Ufkin; significant other, Dave Kirk of Morrison; members of her extended family, Rob, Cathleen, Ashley, Bryce and Jacob Vegter, Bryan, Kelli, Tyler and Mason Dunn, Sean and Heather Kirk, Brian, Tracey, Owen and Irelyn Oviatt, and Patrick Kirk; and special friends, Pam and Jack Jones, Carol Onken, Gloria Ivey and Kelby Ottens, and Doug Belha and Peg Mills.
