Father time: Ebersole was guiding hand in area basketball scene
Each stone caught Don Ebersole’s eye. Some for their shape, some for their color, some for reasons that he probably couldn’t explain in any other terms than he liked them.
He dug them out of the creek bed near his home on Capp Road in rural Sterling because he had a spot for them. They were meant for his fireplace.
When it was finished, the fireplace was a collage of colors and shapes bonded together to form one piece of functional art.
