Spring Lake levees temporarily closed
SAVANNA – The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service announced that levees at Spring Lake, south of Savanna, will be temporarily closed to public access.
The closure, in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, is due to ongoing levee repairs.
Years of flooding and damage from muskrat and beaver have caused several levees to fail.
