Whiteside mulls electricity referendum
Other counties have rejected aggregation
MORRISON – Empowered by voters, many area towns have negotiated for lower electricity rates for residents and small businesses.
In March, voters in the unincorporated areas of Lee and Ogle counties rejected giving their county governments the power to seek lower rates – known as aggregation.
Whiteside County has yet to have a referendum.
