October sentencing set in 2006 robbery case
DIXON – A Dixon man will be sentenced Oct. 4 after pleading guilty to the 2006 armed robbery of two Dixon convenience stores.
Jacob N. Cecil, 33, is in Lee County Jail on a $500,000 bond, facing 20 to 60 years in prison.
Cecil was wearing a ski mask and carrying a sawed-off shotgun when he robbed Stop-N-Go, 1100 E. River Road, just after midnight on June 9, 2006. A week later, he also used a sawed-off shotgun to rob Hometown Pantry, 110 E. Seventh St.
