Lee County financial plan called 'premature'
Officials debate hiring an administrator
DIXON – A top Lee County official Wednesday warned that advocates of a long-range financial plan would “fall flat” on their faces if they sought a board vote next week.
“I think it’s premature,” said Rick Ketchum, D-Amboy, chairman of the board’s Finance Committee.
Despite his opposition, other committee members voted to seek a board vote on the six-page plan, which includes proposals to hire a county administrator and contract with an outside firm to conduct a countywide staffing review.
