Dixon Main Street: Security, cleanup won’t be a problem at Mumford & Sons concert
DIXON – Stressing the economic benefit of the concert, and the likely quality of Mumford & Sons fans, Dixon Main Street’s executive director answered questions about the Aug. 18 event before a room full of people Wednesday afternoon.
At least one Dixon business owner walked out of the hourlong informational meeting more confident.
“I feel much more relaxed about the whole thing,” said Elaine Bruns, co-owner of the Shamrock Pub. “A lot of our customers are like, ‘We’re just getting out of town. We’re not even going to be around here,’ but I’m definitely going to encourage them to stay in town. It’s not nearly going to be as bad as everyone perceives it to be.”
