Board to vote on new bus route, longer preschool program
ROCK FALLS – The Rock Falls Elementary District 13 School Board will vote Wednesday on the addition of a new bus route, needed in the aftermath of its absorption of Riverdale School District.
If approved, the bus will pick up students who live in the area of the former school, which is now the Riverdale Preschool Center, and take students back and forth to the district’s other schools, Superintendent Dan Arickx said.
Preschool students also would be taken to the center on the new route, which will cost about $30,000 a year to run, Arickx said. The district has three other bus routes.
