Betty N. Senn

DIXON – Betty N. Senn, 87, of Dixon, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was a cafeteria worker for the Dixon School District before retirement.

Betty was born Feb. 19, 1925, in Dixon, the daughter of Samuel and Mary Elizabeth (Heimbaugh) Brooks. She married Woodrow Senn on Oct. 11, 1947, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 2001. Betty was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 8739.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Lowell, Sherwood, Eugene and Wayne Brooks; and one sister, Elizabeth Brooks.

There will be no funeral services. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at Grand Detour Cemetery.

Arrangements were completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon.

Memorials have been established to the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
